This page will help guide those who have already been assigned a child to sponsor. If you have yet to sponsor a child, and would like to, please click on the green button. If you are in need of assistance, click the red button.
Dear Sponsor,
We are thrilled to have you as a part of this oh so special program. Here, you will find general directions, shopping suggestions and discount information. We remind you that your drop-off site and deadline for gifts should be handled directly through whomever you signed up with to sponsor your child or children.
Along with the information profile sheet you received for your child, you should have also gotten an envelope containing our special gift bag, a specifically colored ribbon, and a cable tie. If any of these items are not in the envelope, please notify your contact person as soon as possible!
TABLETS Many wish lists continue to include "tablets". This refers to a small hand/lap held computer device, popular examples are iPad, etc. In the past, these items have been cost prohibitive. However, with so many brands, sizes, and refurbished models available, we have now included them on the wish list. They can be found at places such a Walmart, Target, KMart as well as online, and at many other stores. Some are as low as $40, and of course up. Please only do what you feel comfortable with. Thank you.
Read on for specific directions and shopping suggestions!
General Recommendations when Sponsoring PDF
Tip: We receive many, many phone calls each year that local businesses will offer discounts for this type of program. This is no guarantee, but simply a suggestion that you might try. Have your profile sheet handy and ask away!
Here are directions for packaging gifts:
- Once your shopping is done and all presents are wrapped and tagged, fill the provided gift bag.
- Every gift should be NEW, and wrapped separately.
Every gift should have a tag for the child that reads:
To: Child's Name
From: An Elf, Santa, A Friend, An Angel, etc.
(signing your own name may confuse the child) - If you are so inclined, you might add an index card or even a regular piece of paper with only the number on it to the bottom of the bag, facing out (use extra care)
- Use the provided cable ties and before closing, slip the string of the included numbered tag onto the cable tie. Now secure the cable tie tightly.
- Tie the colored ribbon (only) around the neck of the bag where the cable tie has already been secured.
- The color and number are the only way we can assure the gift reach the child!
- By the time the child receives their gifts, they will not see the numbered tag, this is for organizational purposes only
- DO NOT ever include the profile sheet or any personal information in the gift bag
- All gifts must be received on or before Tuesday, December 3rd in order to make delivery
- Please be sure to register all gift bags when dropping them off
- If you are unsure of your designated drop-off area, PLEASE check with the person from whom you originally received your child's name and packet
Shopping Suggestions PDF
The following suggestions should help making the child or children you are sponsoring a bit easier. While some sheets are very specific, others might be very vague or even blank. This is simply due to the information that is made available to us by the caseworkers or family members. So, with this in mind, please remember that all suggestion are just that, suggestions. We ask that you do only what you feel you can.
